Trublue of Birmingham is looking for a retired contractor or subcontractor to work with their clients on a part-time basis. Trublue is a company that specializes in small projects for residential clients. Our jobs vary from 2 hours to 2 days on average and are assigned based on skills and abilities. Experience with Seniors a plus.

The person we're looking for has at least 10 years experience doing repairs, renovation and installation work for homeowners. They also can work independently or with a team as needed.

Desired experience:

1. carpentry (repair or new fences, decks, handrails, steps, replacing rotted wood, etc)
2. sheetrock (drywall repairs and painting)
3. door and door lock changeouts
4. grab bar installation on tile and sheetrock
5. hanging curtains, mirrors and pictures
6. replace faucets, shower heads,
7. replace/install new light fixtures and ceiling fans
7. screen replacement for porches and windows

The type of person we are looking for has a lot of experience, does quality work and wants to work part-time as we get job opportunities. Our ideal candidate :

A. has a great can-do attitude and gets along with people
B. is reliable (shows up on time, every time)
C. can do most small home repairs (carpentry and sheetrock particularly)
D. is willing to work on small 2 hour jobs as needed, but also capable of doing 1 or 2 day bigger jobs
E. has their own tools and truck or ability to carry materials to job

We are building a reputation as a premier handyman company that is willing to do the small jobs. We want our technicians to be on time and do good work, leaving a positive impression so that the client calls us back regularly to help them. Our handymen quite often make more than the stated hourly rate through tips and bonuses because of their good work.
